The day that IIRAIRA (the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act) went into effect.

The day we entered the Age of Immigration Darkness.

Those of us involved in immigration battles at that time had an inkling what the future held.

We knew immigration law was entering unchartered territory.

We knew we were in for a long term fight.

We have yet to recover.
